Hostal Orsi

The location worked well for us, with the beach and shops nearby. We only needed somewhere to sleep and shower, and the room was perfectly adequate. The man who greeted us was friendly, explained everything about the stay, and even offered to arrange a taxi for our departure. Wi-Fi was free, and the beds were comfortable. There was a fan but no air conditioning. The bathroom looked a bit old, though it was clean; the shower pressure seemed a little weak, maybe because we were on the third floor. We'd read reviews that made us nervous, but our two-night stay was totally fine.

You're given sheets and shower towels, and the rooms are cleaned well. The bed was really comfortable, I slept pretty well, and there were no bedbugs. The staff were friendly and helpful. The walls are thin and feel as cheap as the price, but that's about the only drawback. The location is great too, with a Lidl 50m away and the beach less than five minutes away. This place deserves a better rating.

I couldn't wait to get out the next morning. I've never felt so unsafe in a hostel or hotel, and this was the worst stay I've ever had. The room felt damp, the mattress seemed as old as the hotel, and sleeping there felt like being in a prison. When I came back from dinner, my room had been opened, and everything smelled of cigarettes despite the no-smoking policy. It was noisy, and reception staff spoke neither Spanish nor English. I couldn't cancel because of the no-refund policy, and they charged tourist tax for three nights though I stayed just one. For the same price you can get a good city hotel with 24-hour reception. Here, a 10pm check-in costs 15€, and the rooms feel as cheaply made as possible. Seriously, don't go there.

There were fewer guests and things felt calmer this time, at the start of the tourist season. The room was very clean, well prepared, and had all the basics we needed. As on my previous visits, the stay at Orsi was great. The staff were attentive and took care of whatever we needed. This was my third time here, and we'll certainly come back again. Highly recommended.
