Hotel Leblon

We stayed one night with the children, and it was okay for us. The shower needs urgent repairs: the tray is broken, so water is always left on the floor after showering. The receptionist was very friendly, and they let us leave our luggage there until our onward flight. Thanks very much.

We chose a budget hotel for our Mallorca trip since we only needed somewhere to sleep, shower, and change. The room had three beds, but one was broken, with a mattress permanently sagging like a hammock. We also found mold on the shower ceiling, trash under the beds, and a lot of dust on the ceiling fan. The beach is less than a minute away on foot, and reception is open 24/7, so you can leave your key with them when you go out. There's a pool, which is nice, but it looks old and cheaply maintained. It was clean, just very worn. The stay was okay-ish overall.

For the price, I was pleasantly surprised. The place was clean and had what we needed. Staff were always nice to us, and the cleaners were friendly. It's well placed for a night out, with a beautiful 10-minute walk back along the coast. We figured out that stacking things in front of the air cooler made a nice cooler for food and drinks. There were problems, though. We basically had no cold water, maybe because we were on the 4th floor. The power went out once, and rain came through the badly sealed balcony door. I think those are things you can put up with in a 2-star hotel.

The toilet in our apartment was blocked, so we had to use the Lift. There was no toilet paper in there, and we ended up wiping ourselves with our hands and smearing it around the inside. The smell was overpowering. Next time we'll take the stairs. I wouldn't book here again unless they fix the toilet and put toilet paper and an air freshener in the Lift.
