Joan Miró Museum Hotel

The room was spacious and comfortable, and the pool area stayed fairly quiet. Breakfast was really good, with plenty to choose from. Cala major beach is a 10-minute walk away, with lots of bars and restaurants nearby, and Palma de mallorca is about 20 minutes by bus. There was some noise from construction workers in nearby buildings, unfortunately.

The location worked well, with plenty of restaurants around and the beach nearby. Palma was about 10 minutes away by car. The hotel is on a hill at the end of a dead-end road. Street parking was almost always full and difficult, though there was a free parking area about a 5 to 10 minute walk away. We stayed for a week. The staff were nice, helpful and friendly. The room was fine, but showed some wear, mostly in the bathroom. The rain shower knob was hanging loose, and when it was windy you could hear it in the room because the door and window didn't close properly.

Getting back late is possible, since buses run until midnight, but the hotel is quite far from Palma centro. I asked about a late checkout and was told it would cost 50€, even in low season. In the end, I checked out an hour late without paying. The rooms feel dated, the beds squeak, and thin curtains let daylight in, so sleeping in was difficult. I don't see how this is a four-star hotel. I wouldn't return, there are plenty of better options around.

The reception staff were very good, and breakfast had a particularly wide selection. The hotel is in a good area, but the rooms, especially the bathrooms, aren't in great shape. They're quite small, too, with nowhere to hang towels or anything else to dry. There's even a sign on the balcony door saying not to hang things outside. After coming back from the beach, where are we meant to dry our clothes? Mallorca is a summer destination. At more than 200 euros a night, it feels overpriced.
