Abelay

The room felt fresh, clean, and tidy, and the staff were polite and helpful. Shops and restaurants are just a couple of minutes away on foot.

Getting around was easy: the train and bus stations are about a 15-minute walk away, and a charming street with good restaurants and local bars is around eight minutes away. The city center takes about 20 minutes on foot. Staff are friendly around the clock and speak good English. There are safes at reception, though you need to ask for one. My room was clean and tidy, and the air conditioning could both heat and cool it. Room layouts vary, with some offering a balcony and lounge chair for sunbathing, and others a private terrace. The cleaning staff were friendly, and did a thorough job. I saw them pull the beds out to clean underneath.

We spent three nights there in September on a visit to Palma de Mallorca, and liked the hotel a lot. It was very clean and renovated, and the staff were really nice. For a two-star place, it looks amazing and is good value for the money. We’d choose it again if we return to Palma, and totally recommend it.

The room was basic, but spacious and very clean, with comfortable beds. The staff were welcoming, helpful, and chatty. There’s a small gym and a terrace open every day, which was perfect for my morning yoga. Breakfast was enough to get me going, and you can add eggs and bacon at the restaurant. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the city center and shopping area. The cathedral is farther, around 30-40 minutes on foot, but that never bothered me. Palma is a place for walking and exploring. It’s only a two-star hotel, but I’ve stayed in four-star places with worse facilities, so I do recommend this lovely spot.
