Hotel Playa Sol

We didn’t stay in the rooms, so I can’t comment on those. We stopped by the downstairs cafe at Playa Sol Hotel for breakfast and coffee, and it had a lovely local feel, with regulars as well as visitors. It was very busy when we went, mostly Spanish customers and a few tourists. Prices for coffee and breakfast were reasonable. The café con leche was just what you’d expect in Spain and really good. We also had a tostada with Serrano jamón and one with tuna, both with tomato and olive oil. The baguette bread was lovely. There’s plenty of seating indoors and outside, and it’s a relaxed place for breakfast.

Their bar and cafe is popular with locals at breakfast, which says a lot. It’s also nice to spend your money at an actual local business. The service, rooms, and breakfast are exceptional for a two-star hotel at that price. Given the location, it’s reasonably quiet in the off season.

I needed a place for a one-night layover, and this worked really well for the price. The room was clean, with a comfy bed and plenty of space, and the staff were friendly. A continental breakfast was included and was good too. I was there out of season, and I personally prefer other parts of the island, but it was great for what I needed.

The balcony was spacious and had a nice view, and the room service was excellent. The breakfast was great too. I was surprised by the quality and the staff’s attitude for a two-star hotel.
