Hotel Palma Avenidas

The younger woman working at the desk in the afternoons was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the location was great. The rooms, though, felt very bare for a four-star hotel. Even the one-star place I stayed at before switching to this hotel had a coffee station. Here, it was just the bare minimum.

We were close to the buses and train stations, with everything else just a short walk away, and there was a taxi rank nearby. The room had the basics, a smart TV, and was great overall. I asked for an extra pillow and got one without any trouble. After checkout I realized I’d left my ring in the room, so I emailed the hotel that same day, and they put it aside for me. The reception staff were nice. Breakfast was okay for what it was, though it wasn’t the best I’ve had and could use more variety.

There’s a bus stop right downstairs, and the room was clean and tidy. The air conditioning worked well, and the soundproofing was decent. I did find the bathroom awkward to use: the toilet was unusually high and uncomfortable, and I couldn’t see how a child would manage it alone. The front desk staff member wasn’t openly rude, but seemed indifferent and not very welcoming.

There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, and it’s not far from the city centre. The hotel was clean and good, and breakfast had lots of options. Parking was the main problem: it costs €25 a day, or you can try to find a street space, but the whole area is paid parking too.
