Residencia Mayol - Adults Only

I liked this place a lot. It was simple but comfortable, clean, and good value for the price, quality and location. The city centre is about a 30-minute walk away, and it’s easy to get there by bus.

The rooms were small, but much better than we expected when we arrived, with everything we needed. The whole place was spotlessly clean, and the communal kitchen, dining area and outdoor seating were great. The staff were efficient, friendly and helpful.

The place was very expensive for the poor service, and it was far from the historic centre, beaches and port. It was dirty, with towels and bed linen that looked grey instead of white. Sometimes they forgot to make up the room. When they did, they cleaned poorly, only stretching the sheets without making the beds. There was a tobacco smell, the fridge didn’t work, and there were insects. Staff weren’t there when we needed them, and some of the noisy guests seemed shady.

The Wi-Fi I needed for online work took repeated requests to get. The reception staff were unfriendly, the place was noisy, and the beds were worn and unclean. The curtain was torn, and the walls could use paint. For what we paid, the value just wasn't there. I know you can't get another hotel at this price, but I'd still choose a hostel over this place. Save your money. That's what comes to mind right now.
