Santa Clara Urban Hotel & Spa

Our room was ready early, and the staff were very nice. I think we may have received a complimentary upgrade, since we booked the most basic room but got one that was a little bigger. The place was super clean, and the dental and shaving kits were a nice extra. It's on quiet streets a few blocks from Palma's busiest areas, which made for pleasant walks and kept noise down inside. I'd definitely return.

We wished we could have stayed longer. Catalina welcomed us with a warm smile, and our junior suite was incredible, with a lovely view and plenty of room for three adults. Staying in a former 17th-century palace of Mallorcan nobility made us imagine the stories held by its stone walls. The old-town location is ideal for wandering the narrow streets, with Palma Cathedral, a must-see, and the Arab Baths easy to reach. Make time for the hotel terrace.

We stayed four nights in early Nov 2022, then went to Sóller for a few nights before returning to Palma for one night ahead of our flight. There was just one room left for the Saturday we needed, and they gave us a very good rate even though it could have sold for much more. They also stored most of our luggage while we were away. Breakfast had lots of choices and good quality products. The old building has been completely refurbished into beautiful rooms, plus a lovely rooftop deck. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was great for exploring old Palma. It’s a quiet street without party restaurants, but all kinds of food are close by. We had an excellent stay.

The toilet had a ditch smell, which was one downside. Otherwise, we liked the stylish lobby and room, the friendly staff, and the cheerful rooftop bar. I was drawn to the rooftop bar, and it turned out to be a good choice for our final stop in Mallorca. The hotel is on a quiet street, within walking distance of the A1 bus stop, cafés, restaurants, the cathedral, and other sights.
