Hotel Piedras

The service was always delivered with a smile, and we recommend the hotel. It’s very nice and clean. The rooms are small, but have a safe and mini fridge, and the bathroom has a bathtub.

It’s an older, modest place with lots of character, and it was spotless. Cristina was especially wonderful and made everything easy for us. We ate well in the restaurant, and breakfast at the bar was good as long as you don’t go too early. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was very nice. There’s no air conditioning, but opening the windows brought in a cool breeze. Perfect!

The room was cozy, clean and nice, but I didn’t sleep very well. With the window open, kitchen smells came in. I’m not sure they were coming from outside, or whether air was being drawn in from downstairs through the gap under the door. It was also really loud until very early in the morning. Maybe it was the restaurant below, maybe people partying in the street on Saturday night, or something else. Either way, it’s clean and cozy, but the noise and smell of fried food are worth knowing about if you’re sensitive to them.

The room was clean and fine, and there’s plenty of free parking. The real highlight, though, was the à la carte breakfast, with an amazing range of choices and lots of local products.
