The host was gracious and easy to deal with, and the place has lovely stonework and an art-gallery feel. If you're hiking the Camino, keep in mind it's about 40 minutes off the route. There's only one bar or cafe within an easy walk.

The only real drawback for me was breakfast: €9 per person feels expensive for this location and what they serve. Otherwise, it's fantastic. The inn is rustic, spotless, cozy, and peaceful, with original art throughout. The owners are lovely, and everything else feels just right.

The owners make you feel at home, with thoughtful advice on restaurants and places to visit, and they're incredibly friendly and attentive. The location is wonderfully quiet, right in nature, but close to Santander, lively villages, and Cabárceno Wildlife Park. The house and rooms are beautiful and tastefully decorated, and everything was spotless. Highly recommended.

José Luís was especially friendly and helpful, with good sightseeing tips and dinner recommendations. Breakfast was adequate. The house is full of striking decor, sculptures, masks, and other eclectic touches, though you're warned not to touch anything. It's out in the middle of nowhere but still close to everything. The house had a rather unpleasant smell, and in July the huge top-floor room and bathroom got unbearably hot at night.

The setting is quiet and surrounded by nature, and the service was ideal. I sleep lightly, so I'd bring earplugs. Highly recommended.
