HM Tropical Hotel

The place was very clean, especially the pools, but the rooms were tiny. Service took a while, even though the staff were very friendly. There was no entertainment during the day or evening, and poolside music happened only 1day. I've stayed in cheaper hotels that were better, so I wouldn't return.

For the price, it was good value, though the restaurant was mediocre. No drinking water was left in the room. Since I arrived late, I had to find an open beach store to buy some.

I booked 7 nights in August but had to leave 3 days early. I called at the last minute, and they told me I could get a refund for at least 2 days, possibly 3. Then they said everything had been paid to the hotel and the hotel had to handle the refund. Nothing was refunded. The people at reception were very rude, and even the cleaning staff were rude. The room wasn't very clean, and the restaurant was rude and unprofessional too.

The main downside for us was having to pay for drinks with dinner even though we were half board. Otherwise it was a very pleasant 4-day stay. The staff were brilliant, always helpful and attentive. For a smaller hotel the buffet had a nice selection, and the modern, clean rooms, good-sized pool for the hotel's size, and amenities all suited us well.
