Meliá Costa Atlantis Tenerife

We’ve just come back from 10 days at this lovely hotel. The sea view room was excellent, and the staff were all very friendly and happy to help. Breakfast and dinner were plentiful buffets with lots of variety, and drinks were reasonably priced. We’d return.

The gardens and pools are the best part, with the gardens well established and very well kept. It’s an old hotel, but amazingly well run. The rooms are large and a little dated, though very well appointed. The food is very good and the staff are first class.

The spa visit on my birthday was uncomfortable. It was overcast, so I went to ask about using the indoor pool and spa area, but was abruptly told to leave and not allowed in. We were standing there unsure what to do, and nobody welcomed us, offered help, or showed us around. I left feeling awkward and embarrassed. The food labels were also poor, so I had to guess what things were and nearly ate something I wouldn’t have liked. Even with those issues, we loved the stay. The welcome at reception was warm, especially from Irene and the trainee on reception, and the lobby looked beautiful for Christmas. It’s a very luxurious stay in a great spot right beside the ocean. The Rituals toiletries and lovely smell throughout the hotel made it feel special.

The hotel had been completely renovated, and our room was spacious, clean, and had a nice balcony. We enjoyed breakfast, and the pool was large without being too busy. We spent 9 nights there in June 2025. The location was very nice, close to the local promenade but on the quieter side.
