Villa Río Béjar

The patio and in-ground pool downstairs became our main hangout, while we slept in the two rooms upstairs. We were eight altogether, six adults and two children, and the house has two floors with separate entrances. Each floor has a bathroom, kitchen, and two bedrooms. Everything was very clean, and the house stayed cool as the weather began to warm up. The pool felt like an oasis, and the setting is hard to beat. The owners were great to communicate with. Wi-Fi was available, though not always dependable, and phone and data coverage were good.

The lower house where we stayed was set up for four, but we could have used more dishes, especially plates and cups for breakfast. The drive in is a bit long, and cars with low clearance need to take it carefully. Otherwise, it’s a peaceful place with spectacular views, and the stars are so clear at night. The newly renovated house had everything looking new. The owners were helpful and attentive, and left water, towels, and shower gel for us. Since we arrived at night in the cold, they’d also lit the wood-burning stoves.

There’s a hiking route right by the house, with lots to see, including a waterfall and some fascinating rock formations. The property is in a privileged, idyllic setting, only 130 meters from the entrance to Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas Natural Park. It takes about 15 minutes to reach the house by road from Quesada. The place was spotless, in excellent condition, and very well equipped. The owners were welcoming, and I’m completely satisfied. I’ll definitely return.

We really enjoyed the pool and the outdoor dining space, with spectacular, peaceful views of the Sierra de Cazorla mountains. The villa is a great place to get away from it all. It has two independent apartments on separate floors, each with two bedrooms. Everything was very clean and had what we needed, apart from a washing machine. The hosts were friendly and helpful.
