This is a basic 1* pension, so don't go expecting normal hotel standards. It's small, simple, a bit run down, but clean and comfortable, and it's cheap and cheerful. I reckon the bad reviews come from people who wanted something much fancier. For an inexpensive stay in a great location, it works perfectly. If you want a posh hotel experience, look elsewhere.

The room was fine, but I couldn't get wifi on the second floor and ended up working in the lobby. They could really extend the coverage with some mesh routers.

I hate leaving bad reviews, but this stay earned one. The overhead light in my room wasn't working. The owner or manager climbed onto the bed with bare feet to change the bulb, right in front of me, even though it was the bed I was meant to sleep in. He didn't offer another room until I insisted, and the replacement was on the second floor, where there's no wifi. Wifi only reaches the first floor, and he didn't think to mention that. It's baffling they'd cut costs by not adding a second router for the whole hotel. Stay away.

Just a block or so from steps down to a secluded beach, and everything else was very convenient too. The beds were comfortable, it was really quiet, and there's a nice, inexpensive cafe half a block away. And the shower was amazing, with a rainfall effect!

The service was pleasant, the place was clean, and the location was good. Wifi was free, but only in reception, and the TV in our room didn't work.
