Hotel El Churron

We stayed for a couple of days and really enjoyed the views from the balconies. The rooms were perfectly clean, and the staff were friendly. The weekend menu is €20. If you're thinking of staying, I'd recommend booking ahead.

The peaceful setting, great food and very friendly staff were all highlights. I think this place would be lovely in the cooler months, but summer was difficult. My room got so hot, with no air conditioning or fan. Leaving the windows open let in lots of little black flies, so it was hard to relax. The WiFi was unreliable too.

We only stopped for one night while travelling north through Spain and France to the U.K. The hotel is about five minutes from the Biescas road over the Pyrenees, and it has a lovely, tranquil feel. The staff welcomed us warmly. We stayed in for a couple of drinks and dinner instead of driving a few kilometres, drinking and then driving back. Our menu del noche was tasty and reasonably priced. The clean, comfortable room was at the front, with distant hills outside, and the shower was good. One tip if you stay: ask at reception for a second pillow if you prefer two. We only had one each in our room, and I didn't notice until late in the evening. We left early, so I can't comment on breakfast. A decent, clean hotel at a reasonable rate. Thank you.

The rooms are a high standard and have good views. We also liked the restaurant: good service, a good choice of food and excellent value for money. Lovely hotel.
