Hostal Santel San Marcos

We ended up sleeping in the car. The conditions were bad and the noise was awful. We had to wait out in the cold because nobody had told us anything, and no one answered the phone number they provided. Terrible.

A cheap room in the city center, but I wouldn't recommend it. The bathroom wasn't really clean, with pubic hairs on the toilet. Getting there was poorly explained: only at the last minute, after I arrived, did the man tell me to go to another building around the corner. It would have been easier if he'd spoken English. Then I had trouble getting the hotel keys in that building and had to call again to find out how. I did eventually get in. If you're in a hurry and want somewhere cheap in the center with no service, it might work, but I wouldn't suggest it to others.

I booked two rooms through the hotel's own website with free cancellation. I tried several times to cancel more than 48 hours before check-in using the link they sent, but the page couldn't be found. I also contacted the hotel on WhatsApp and by email several times to sort it out. They only replied on the check-in date, saying cancellation wasn't possible and that I had to contact the platform where I'd booked, even though the reservation was made on their website. The issue is still unresolved, and the hotel charged me the reservation amount twice. I'm really disappointed. They haven't treated their clients fairly.

You can't find the entrance, and when you do, the building is locked. Reception isn't open when you need it. They say to contact their WhatsApp for online reception, but they leave you on read and don't reply.
