Los Almendros

We keep coming back whenever we're in Gran Canaria. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, the accommodation is really nice, and the staff are friendly. I'd almost rather keep the place to myself as a secret.

When I'm in Playa del Inglés, this is my usual place as a gay nudist male. The staff are helpful and friendly, everything stays clean and organized, and they make everyone feel like family. It's always a great stay, and the location is great too.

The area behind the swimming pool is especially quiet, and it's a great place to stay. The bungalows facing the pool can get a bit intense with people and music around. My bungalow was said to have been refurbished, but that seemed to mean a few pieces of furniture and the curtains. The toilet, wardrobe, and kitchen still looked like they dated from the early 2000s. There were 30 or 40 little flies in my toilet, and more seemed to appear each day. The room was cleaned every day except weekends, but during my stay of almost two weeks I had to ask for fresh towels and bedsheets.

We had such a good time at Los Almendros that we're already planning a longer return visit in November. For my birthday in March, Mike and I flew from Aruba to Gran Canaria, our first time on GC. The bungalows felt fully up to date, with private terraces, and everything was spotless and neat. Staff were very friendly. We rented a car but didn't need it, since everything was easy to reach on foot. Cita and Yumbo are under a 10-minute walk away, and the dunes and plenty of good restaurants are nearby. You can also get a nice lunch and delicious drinks at Los Almendros. Sunny greetings, Auke & Mike.
