We had a friendly welcome, and the apartment is a good size. It’s right in the city center, near a lively little square, and about 20 minutes from the ferry terminal. The balcony has a small table and two chairs with a sea view. Getting to reception involves half a flight of stairs. In the apartment, kitchen equipment is minimal: two saucepans, a kind of pot that can serve as a saucepan, and two frying pans. There’s no microwave or mini-oven, just two electric burners, and no recycling facilities in the kitchen. The bathtub is slippery and starting to rust, though thankfully it has a grab bar. Noise from the neighbors comes through easily.
