The breakfast was pretty generic, and the fitness room felt bleak, though it might keep you sane for a few days. I was there on a work trip and can’t picture choosing it for a holiday. It’s a practical conference hotel, close to the airport and the industries in the area. The Turkish bath was a bad experience: you have to request it, wait half an hour for it to be turned on, and it was still cold.

We’ve stayed here before and, as Bonvoy Gold members, we’ve usually been offered an upgrade without asking. This time we had to enquire and were told there were none, even though the website was still selling three kinds of upgraded rooms. We later noticed there wasn’t even a Nespresso machine in our room. When we mentioned that at check-in, the staff member seemed not to have checked what room we had and then offered an upgrade. By then we’d unpacked, so we declined. It was a letdown after another AC stay in Burgos where we’d felt very welcome.

The service was really welcoming, and it’s a great hotel for this area. The breakfast, though, was a little disappointing.

The rooms were comfortable and check-in went pleasantly. I really enjoyed staying here. The restaurant closes on weekends, but there’s a KFC a couple of minutes away. They also had fresh lavender you could put into a little pouch to take with you. My luggage smelled lovely afterward!

It’s a handy spot for the shopping centre and places to eat. The surroundings feel a bit in the middle of nowhere, but it’s still convenient.
