The service was horrible, despite the amazing view. We ordered food at the bar and were told we could sit anywhere, so we chose the sofa area. While we were eating, they asked us to move because we might stain their precious sofa. We were also left to serve ourselves completely, including getting our own cutlery, napkins, and glasses. Nothing was brought to us. It might be fine for a drink, but I wouldn't recommend it for tapas or dinner. I've never had worse service in Cantabria.

We were happy with the simple dinner, and the wine was good. It's a great little spot, with stunning views on both sides, easy beach access, and a comfortable lounge. What more could you ask for?

The garden has a nice view, but the room was a disappointment. It didn't have the promised sea view, with more roof than sea in sight. Nobody could speak English, and the rooms were way too noisy, with noise from upstairs at 4:30am. That upstairs space is private?? It wasn't what I expected.

The setting is astonishing and well worth a visit. We didn't stay at the hotel, but we did have breakfast and lunch on the restaurant terrace. Both meals were very good quality, fitting the location and the views.

I've never stayed at the hotel, but I recommend it for the coastal views. On a clear day, it's hard to find a better place to watch the sun set over the Cantabrian sea. At dusk, guests and visitors gather across the large patio, garden, and lawn to watch the sun sink into the water.
