Insotel Tarida Beach Resort & SPA - All inclusive

We had a fantastic five-day break in late May, with a wedding to top it off. The room was large and had a swim-up pool. Staff were lovely in every area, the food selection was great, and the beach was really nice.

The relaxed atmosphere and broad choice of food and drinks made this a great stay, and we found the T bar restaurant especially good value, with fantastic food. Guest services were really helpful arranging a booking there. Everyone, from housekeeping and the bar team to the restaurant and guest services, was warm and ready to help. We’d recommend the hotel in lots of ways. It’s clearly a family-friendly place with plenty of returning guests, and we came back too.

The sunset bar has beautiful views, and the beach is in a perfect spot. We also loved the retreat, about a five-minute walk uphill, with its slides and splash park. The food there was good too, so there was no need to head elsewhere for the day. Back at the hotel, our room was spotless and just big enough for two adults and a toddler, though more people would probably feel cramped. It was ideally placed near the restaurant and family pool. Staff were helpful and friendly, and we found plenty to eat even though I’m a fussy eater. We don’t have allergies, and we didn’t run into the cold or undercooked food problems mentioned in some other reviews. The family-style entertainment was as expected, and our little one loved the mini disco. They didn’t have the baby and toddler sessions or mascots we’d seen at the Tui Blue hotel last year, but the splash park and beach kept our child busy, so they weren’t missed. We had a great stay.

Getting around was a major problem for us. The resort is very isolated, far from beaches, nightlife and tours. A taxi to town costs a fortune and getting anywhere interesting takes at least 30 to 40 minutes. There’s no delivery service, so missing a meal leaves you stuck. We missed dinner on our first night after spending over an hour trying to work out where the buffet was. By then it had closed, and the only food offered was a plate of cold leftover chicken spread from the morning. That felt completely unacceptable for an all-inclusive stay. We’d booked four nights, but after just one we knew the place wasn’t right for us, especially since we’d come to Ibiza for nightlife and to explore the island. We explained why and asked for a refund for the remaining nights, but got only one night refunded. It felt as if guest satisfaction didn’t matter to them. We arrived on the day the resort opened for the season, and staff seemed wholly unprepared. They didn’t know basic food service or drink hours, and answers to our questions were confused or conflicting. The whole stay was disappointing from the start. For the price and hype, this all-inclusive resort in Tarida didn’t deliver. There are better places to stay in Ibiza, so save your time and money.
