We had lunch at the restaurant and really enjoyed the food. It was good value, too, and the service was excellent.

We enjoyed our one-night stay, and the hotel has a grand feel to it. It’s a convenient place to stop on the way south, towards Motril, Malaga, Nerja and so on. Good value at 63 euros, dog friendly for an extra 7 euros, and the continental breakfast, coffee and tea were good. There were excellent tapas and raciones, and the staff were friendly. The one problem was the loud, fairly regular noises in room 109 during the night, bangs and the like. I mentioned them to a staff member in the morning, but couldn’t understand his explanation, though he seemed aware of the issue. I’d wondered if birds on the roof were making them, but apparently not. I can only assume it was the air-con unit, plumbing, or something similar.

Waking up to sheep and cows grazing in the swirling mist on the hills was lovely. The roadside location is definitely convenient, and it was well priced. Breakfast coffee was lovely, too. It’s a grand place with lofty rooms, comfortable and friendly, with an easygoing feel. I didn’t have hot water for my morning shower, but I was still content to have such a nice place to lay my head.

I stayed one night and wasn’t disappointed. The staff were friendly, the bedroom was great, and the menu was good. They’re dog friendly, too.
