Hostel Royalty

The main bus station is only 2 minutes away, and the airport is a 15-minute bus ride. The location is central, reception staff were friendly, and there was a locker for each bed. Breakfast was basic and self-service, but the palmitas were always nice. It was simple but clean, though two showers felt like too few for a hostel this size. The room was the main reason for my three-star rating. It was hot, so the window was open, but even closed there were gaps. The room never got dark, and street noise carried on all night. Sleep is the main reason to book somewhere, and that was affected. In my opinion, the price was 10-15 euros too high compared with similar places of this quality and location. Okay for one night.

The hostel was clean, quiet, and relaxing, with comfortable beds. It's right in the town center, about a 5 or 6 minute walk from both the train station and the bus station. They provide a small breakfast, plus coffee and juice. Raquel was a lovely host, happy to help and offer suggestions when asked. She even let me check in 15 minutes late after a mishap at the Madrid train station, which I really appreciated. A better-known hostel closer to the station had refused. Honestly, that friendliness and flexibility alone deserve 5 stars. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Lovely to meet you, Raquel, and I hope to see you soon in Santander. There was a lot of street noise, and the room had loads of mosquitos. I asked a hostel worker to help me call a landline to make a reservation, but they weren’t helpful.

The place felt way overpriced for how poor the quality was, and the woman at reception was really rude. Worst place I’ve ever stayed. Don’t go there!
