Hostel Santander

I had a great stay. The boss and receptionist were both welcoming and kind.

The hostel was clean, and the host was kind and helpful. There’s a proper kitchen with everything you need to cook, plus a lovely little balcony to relax on. I was an exhausted pilgrim and spent most of my one night glued to a chair out there. I’d recommend it to other pilgrims.

I loved the location, with lovely views over Santander Bay and an easy walk to pretty much everything. The staff were really friendly, and the tiny place has a lot of charm. The rooms aren’t large or fancy, but that didn’t bother me. It felt more like a shared house, which I prefer to a big chain hostel without any character.

The owner is lovely and the location is great. It’s a small place and there aren’t enough toilets. Santander doesn’t have much accommodation, so it gets busy and can be hard to book. It’s a relaxed place where you can drink your own beer and cook your own food. It’s also an easy spot to meet people, pitch in together, and have a great time.
