There are two bars nearby where we had a lovely lunch, then a fantastic dinner at a restaurant just beyond them. The house itself felt cold and a little damp, even though it was 25° outside. The owner lit a stove after we arrived, but I thought it could have been on before we got there to warm things up. There wasn’t even a carton of milk for us, unlike every other place we’d stayed, and there was no washing-up liquid or soap in the bathrooms. Maybe that’s normal around here, but the other places on the Camino felt more welcoming. Perhaps this Casa will rate a bit higher once it’s had a few more weeks to heat up.

The first-floor living area and the bathrooms were nice, but the top-floor guestroom smelled strongly of mildew. It also got extremely hot at night, and there were no fans. The host wasn’t around to greet anyone, so other guests were asking me about their reservations. Something needs to be done about that room’s smell.

The whole house runs a bit cold, but the beds were nice and the rooms cozy. I had a great time and would recommend it.
