I barely slept because people in the next room had their TV on past 2 a.m. The walls were so thin I could hear every word, and I had to go find a staff member myself in the middle of the night to complain. The beds were okay, but the bathroom was dated. The hotel was very old and felt more like a hostel. There was no elevator, and I couldn't get through to reception by phone. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone like me who needs a clean hotel and a good night's sleep in private.

The room was spacious enough, clean, and had a balcony. Staff were helpful, and there was a safe place to leave our bikes. For such a reasonable rate, staying in this hotel felt like a treat. The building and its furniture, rugs, and paintings were all interesting.

We only stayed one night and wished it had been longer. The room was spotless, and both the bed and pillows were comfortable. Every staff member we met was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The grand hotel is full of interesting things to look at. Breakfast was a buffet with an excellent selection, including plenty of choices for us as vegetarians. It's in a great spot at the entrance to the pretty village, with a pay-and-display car park less than 100 metres away. We'll definitely return and stay longer next time.

A lovely little place in a great location. The owner keeps things running well, and they make a great Spanish omelet. I wasn't keen on the breakfast buffet, which could be improved. We did enjoy sitting out front each evening with a glass of wine and watching people go by.

The staff were friendly, though things felt disorganised. Dinner was a tasty buffet in the basement, with meat, pasta and salad to choose from, but getting down there meant tackling a lot of steps and there’s no lift. Breakfast was meant to start at 7.30, but no chef or staff member was around; it finally appeared at 8.15, all cold, with nobody to run the hot plate. The food itself was nice. We also had a minor incident that needed first aid, and another guest dealt with it because there was no staff member or first aid kit available. The facade had been moved from its former location over 50 years ago by the current owner’s grandfather, and the grandmother gathered the pictures and other items inside. It’s an eclectic mix.
