Our flight was late, so reception had closed by the time we got there. Another guest kindly let us in, but we hadn't received the room code. An AI bot said we should have it and told us to contact reception if not, but nobody answered the phone or WhatsApp. We ended up sleeping on the tiled reception floor so we wouldn't be out on the street. The room cost 130 euros.

The only things going for this place were its great location and price. Everything else was a mess. Our room had no air conditioning, even though the listing said it was included, and one of the beds wobbled badly. There was no staff or reception on site, and handling everything virtually made check-in and communication a nightmare. On our last night, another guest's key got stuck in the door, locking everyone out of the building. WhatsApp support only sent AI-generated replies, with no help from a real person. After waiting four hours, we got the door open ourselves by pouring olive oil from a nearby pizzeria into the lock. I'm shocked there was no real support. The place has potential, but management and operations are completely unreliable. I wouldn't stay here again.

I booked a room for one night through hotels.com. After booking, they asked me to communicate over WhatsApp and provide card details for a deposit that hadn't been mentioned in the booking. My bank flagged the transaction as suspicious and rejected it, and the hotel wouldn't send the check-in details. I spent three hours on calls and messages with them and hotels.com, and ended up without a room or a refund. Avoid this place at all costs. I hope they'll be banned from doing this, and I'll report them to the proper local authorities.

ANTS IN THE BED! We stayed two nights, and the check-in was a mess from the start. They asked three times by WhatsApp or email what time we'd arrive, and we told them three times. Nobody said our time was too early, so we thought it was fine. At the door, we texted as instructed. They said it was too early to check in but we could leave our bags and come back at 3. Someone locked the bags in reception after we told them twice we'd return at 3. When we came back and messaged that we were outside, they opened the message but didn't reply. Ten minutes later they said a staff member would help. Forty minutes after that, still no one had appeared, while we waited outside in 40-degree heat. Eventually we got in and retrieved our bags 45 minutes later. We were given room 1 on the ground floor. Its window faced the street, the room door faced reception, and the wall beside the main entrance meant we heard everyone coming and going. Hostels can be noisy, but this was ridiculous. The next morning we saw two ants on the bed and didn't think much of it, assuming they might have come in through the window. That night we found an ants' nest beside the bed, with ants on the floor and under the pillows. Disgusting!
