The rooms were clean with a beautiful interior, and the AC was very strong. There was no refrigerator, though. The bathroom was essentially part of the room, with clear walls and a clear door, so there wasn’t much privacy when sharing. If one person switched on the light early, the other couldn’t really avoid it. The shower leaked when the door was fully closed, and there wasn’t much toilet paper. Staff were very helpful with questions and made booking a taxi easy. Getting there from the train station was a little tough on foot, but manageable with lighter bags.

The little hotel cafe made brilliant coffee, and our room was lovely. Great location too. I’d happily stay here again.

We had a room with a huge balcony and loved our stay. The area right outside was pedestrianised, and we were centrally placed near major attractions, landmarks and buildings. The staff were friendly and professional, and there was a lovely little cafe attached. We’d definitely return.

The complaint handling was poor. When I asked about a discount at checkout, the receptionist became snippy and rude. Before that, they’d only offered another room, which had the same problems, or told me to complain by email. I got no discount or other accommodation. I pointed out the stained topper and was told it would be changed, but nothing happened, so I bought a waterproof mattress cover and clean blanket at Zara Home for 50 euros. The topper and duvet were stained, and the shower leaked until the toilet area was underwater. Some items were held together with glue, including the roller blind tape and remote. The room faced a wall, and the hallway smelled of garlic with no way to ventilate it. It was very noisy at night because the entrance door slammed loudly, and sleep came with lots of interruptions. Light also shone through the door whenever someone was in the stairwell.
