We booked a VIP box for one night and, after reading reviews, expected the worst. It wasn't like that. The room was clean inside, even though outside you could smell the neighboring livestock farm. The bed and pillow were comfortable; the shower head was the only issue, since it wouldn't stay fixed against the wall. It was hot in the room and common areas, even for someone like me who gets cold easily. Breakfast was okay but nothing special: boxed juice, rather bad cold cuts, several kinds of toast bread, jams, butter, oil, tomato, and pastries.

The staff were very attentive, and the breakfast was excellent. There are hiking routes nearby, especially the one to the Santa Justa hermitage. The place is peaceful, a few kilometers from Santillana del Mar, and guests have a small parking area.

We were cold almost everywhere else, but here it felt like being at home. The breakfast was delicious and homemade-tasting, and the woman serving us was so friendly. We'll come back :)

A real shame, because the area is beautiful and the property has so much potential. The heating barely worked in the cold weather, the double beds were just two singles pushed together, and the place was quite dirty. There was also a strong smell from the nearby livestock. Honestly, it doesn't feel like a place for couples.

It's a lovely place to relax, in a good spot near Santillana. The path outside leads to a beautiful cove that's perfect for photos. The room could use a bit of maintenance.
