The views are amazing, and the rooms are spacious and well looked after, with the toiletries you might need. I missed having a kettle, coming from the UK, but there are plenty of bars and cafes where you can get coffee. You can hear the trains, though that may not bother people who sleep soundly.

I came back in November 2025 for a wedding anniversary and chose the hotel instead of staying with relatives. The room was lovely and large, with a bay view, the staff were friendly and helpful, and there was a good range at breakfast. I'd happily stay here again. I'd been visiting Portugalete and Santurtzi from England for about 30 years, and remember the building from before it was a hotel. I loved this stay. Thank you Palacio de Oriol. 18/11/2025 - Google asked me to add more details, but all I can say is that I'd be happy to stay again.

I needed help with an issue involving my booking, but the hotel was remarkably unhelpful. A little kindness at reception would have made a big difference. Instead, they came across as greedy and very unfriendly to clients. What a shame.

The grounds were beautiful, and the rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the ferry port is ideally placed just a 10 minute drive away. Fantastic stay, I'd definitely come back.

I ended up here for a night when my flight was cancelled. It's a lovely old palace that's been converted, though the rooms and gym feel very dated. They were clean.
