I stayed for four weeks in February and March 2026 and really enjoyed this unusual place. The historic house has been renovated into several small flats. Booking direct through their site or WhatsApp was especially affordable compared with the usual Airbnb prices in Seville. The location is very central, near the bull ring. Most of the walled Old Town and Triana, across the river, are within a 15-minute walk. My flat, number 9 (Gaseno), was simple but roomy, and the bed in the loft beneath the very high ceiling almost felt like having another room. I had everything I needed for a month of writing on my laptop and exploring the city. The bathroom was a bit worn but very clean. My windows looked into the lightwell, so there wasn't much of a view, but it kept noise down. A door separates the combined kitchen and hallway from the main room, which also helped muffle sounds from the stairwell. I loved the rooftop terrace, with views all the way to La Giralda, and the laundry machines there were free to use. The building has a distinctive, quirky look. It was designed in the early 20th century by local architect Aníbal González, known for the vast Plaza de España, built for the 1929 Ibero-American Expo. There are lots of original tiles inside, and the exterior shows the regional style, including Moorish-inspired window arches. I admired them whenever I came back to my flat. Thanks especially to Elena for being welcoming and available whenever I had questions. I hope I can return someday.
