Hostal Callejón del Agua

The location is handy, just minutes from the Alcazar and cathedral, and the terrace is pleasant. They serve tea and coffee there each morning. But the bathroom smell badly affected our stay. Opening its door brought a wave of sewage odor so strong we stepped back. They tried to mask it with air freshener, which only made the mix worse. The receptionist said there was nothing she could do and suggested the previous night’s rain might be the cause. Another review suggests this has been an issue for years. We dreaded having to use the bathroom.

We stayed six days. The room was small, but workable, and they cleaned it every day. The terrace has a wonderful view of the Giralda and is open until midnight. Breakfast there was just different teas and coffee, also available in the room, though you could bring your own food. The staff were very nice and available around the clock to help. The location is great, about a five-minute walk to the Cathedral. Definitely recommend it.

A lovely little hostal with a nice rooftop. It’s very central, so you can walk to almost all the main sights in Seville. The streets are narrow, so take care if you’re driving. Rooms are tiny but clean and practical, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

The rooftop is really cool, and the staff are great about sharing tips and recommendations. Rooms are tidy, clean and cozy, though a bit small, and it’s good value. The hotel is less than a minute from La Giralda and only a few minutes from most of the old town’s iconic sights. I’m looking forward to visiting the city and staying here again.
