Breakfast could be better, but the rest of my stay left a warm impression. The hotel has an authentic Spanish feel in its décor, and the friendly staff made me feel welcome. My room wasn’t especially large, though it was clean and comfortable, and I slept well. It’s in a central spot that made exploring the city easy. Charming rather than extravagant.

Breakfast was better than average, though not luxurious, and they replenished everything quickly. We tried it on two days. The hotel's location also worked well: the sights were nearby, but we were away from the crowds. It’s a lovely historic building, and the staff were very nice and helpful. Our room could use a little maintenance, but we had a good time overall. Definitely recommendable.

This place is badly in need of repairs, and the price doesn’t match what you get. The hotel’s promised parking service wasn’t available. We had to use public paid parking, 24 euros for 24 hours, about 350 m away, and those lots were mostly full. The room wasn’t like the one shown in the pictures. When I raised that with reception, the reply was rude: the pictures didn’t matter. The room felt worn and uncomfortable, with dirty walls, a peculiar smell, old furniture, a small TV, cold stone floors and an old, unhygienic bathroom. The walls let sound through, the doors didn’t work properly, and I got stuck in the bathroom. You had to turn the faucet many times before the water came out at normal pressure. Cleanliness was a serious problem. The breakfast had little choice, the hot food was cold, and some dishes were dirty, including one with the previous diner’s lipstick marks. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if cleanliness matters to you.

The staff were so helpful, from suggesting sights and places to eat to looking after our bags after checkout so we could explore before catching the train. We were also able to drop our luggage and set off on foot, since the hotel sits between the station and the old town. There are peaceful patios and a roof terrace with cathedral views, and we loved the charming, building-appropriate décor. Our room, number 1, had a little kitchenette. I’d like to come back in spring or early summer and enjoy the place in the sunshine.

The location gets five stars from me. We could walk to the historic sights, and the staff helped us book taxis too. They were polite and very helpful at reception, marking nearby places and other landmarks on a map of Seville. The hotel also had good WiFi. What stayed with me most was the old Andalusian architecture, especially the patios and courtyards. A fountain in the second courtyard was relaxing, and the whole place had a calm, old-time feel. The chairs and little mosaic-patterned tables suited the building, and there were lovely details in the furnishings. There was even a passageway library where we could read. We had room 2 for four people. At the entrance was a small room with an electric kettle, cutlery, cups, plates and a small basin. We got complimentary water bottles on the first day, but had to pay for bottled water after that. Tea bags, coffee and other drinks weren’t complimentary. Upstairs there were two separate rooms, one with a large double bed and the other with two single beds. Each had cupboards and was well furnished, with old photo frames and descriptions of events that added to the antique feel. The room had central heating. There was only one bathroom, which made getting ready on time inconvenient for four of us. It was very clean, had hot and cold water, and beautiful antique fittings. Shower caps were replenished daily, and sewing kits were provided. The hotel has a relaxing atmosphere, and I’d recommend staying here in Seville.
