The rabo de toro tasted delicious, but for 20€ the serving, or at least the fries, should have been more generous. I wasn’t full afterward, and the bread was a little soggy. Service was good, though, and they serve lunch early, before 1pm.

On our last day in Sevilla, before our flight, we stopped for lunch. We weren’t very hungry, so we went for tapas rather than a main dish. What we ordered was good, and the service was good too. There’s a rooftop patio, but it was too hot, so we sat inside.

Bar del Bacalao was close to my hotel, and the cozy atmosphere made the meal especially enjoyable. The service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming, and I left completely satisfied. The paella mixto was the highlight: beautifully cooked, full of flavor, and made with fresh ingredients and a rich mix of spices. Every bite was a treat. A lovely place to eat in Sevilla, whether you live here or are visiting.

The vintage decor gives this little place a welcoming, nostalgic feel. I stopped in while exploring the old town to try something local, and ordered the pork ribs as a starter. They were overcooked and pretty average in flavor, so I skipped trying any more tapas. Nice setting, but the food didn’t live up to it.

Rain sent us into this charming tapas place just steps from our hotel, and it was perfect for lunch on day one in Sevilla. We had Andalusian baked pepper salad, gazpacho, an Iberian pork pâté sandwich, and pan. Everything was fantastic!
