A striking arch, medieval walls and a church make this a great, though not especially well-known, part of Seville's visitor attractions.

I visited on parade day. It was brief and enjoyable, and the area is great for a walk and a bite to eat.
The church sits just to the left of the wall. The arch itself isn't much to look at, but the smaller openings through the wall are more striking, and you can get close enough to see the stonework. It's worth coming to see the 12th-century walls, with their moat and primary wall stretching out along one side.
The church is worth seeing, though the surrounding streets felt rather dingy and dirty. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants, but none made us want to stop for a meal. Central Seville feels much more welcoming. If time is tight, I'd stick to the central historic area; with plenty of time, this spot is still worth a visit.
Part of Seville's old city walls, this arch has real cultural importance. During Semana Santa, the famous Virgen de la Esperanza Macarena passes through it.
