As a Eurostars member, I was really disappointed. This was the worst hotel stay I’ve had. There were ants and cockroaches in the room. When I reported them, staff tried using bleach, but the smell lingered and affected my breathing. The food was another letdown, with very little variety and not much flavor during my stay. The staff were courteous and honestly tried to help, though some problems seemed beyond their control and tied to the property itself. I’ve never had these conditions at a 4-star hotel, and the experience was far below what I’d expect from both a 4-star place and the Eurostars brand.

The location was such a plus, right by the Cathedral and within walking distance of the main attractions. The staff were lovely, and our room was clean and comfortable. I’d stay again. The one problem was the heat: during our January visit, the aircon seemed fixed to a certain temperature and couldn’t be adjusted. It got far too hot to sleep, but opening the window didn’t help because the church bells were audible regularly very early in the morning.

The email before arrival linked to a car park, but I didn’t check where it led and ended up adding an hour to our journey. It took us to Avenida de Roma in Ginas, about 20 minutes out, instead of the car park near the hotel. There’s also an online checkout. The day before we left, I got a WhatsApp and two emails via booking.com saying it would be available from 6.00, which was useful to know. Then two more messages arrived on departure morning. Four emails made me feel unwelcome, though not enough to take a star off. The hotel itself was excellent, with a lovely room, a calm atmosphere, a central location near a great street full of Tapas restaurants, and wonderfully friendly staff.

We stopped by the rooftop bar for drinks. The prices were good, the music was fun, and the sunset views were amazing. There was nobody else there.
