The calamari and marinated clams or mussels were our favorites, and the chorizo and ham were delicious too. Everything tasted wonderful, with great quality food. We loved it all. Highly recommended!

The food was good, but the atmosphere is what keeps bringing people here. This place is very popular because of its history in the area. We walked in without a reservation and were lucky to get a spot at a sherry barrel, where we tried tapas and the daily specials. I’d recommend booking ahead.
There are no chairs, so be ready to stand for your whole visit. Still, it’s worth soaking up the atmosphere in this little place where sailors and royalty drank and ate centuries ago. It dates back to 1670 and is Seville’s oldest pub, with more history and stories than you can imagine. The food and wait staff were great, and the servers run the place like it belongs to them. Definitely try the pork in whiskey sauce. I gave it five stars purely for the history.
The bar atmosphere was exceptional, and we loved the food. We visited in winter, so it may have been less crowded, but both visits were great: first, dinner upstairs after booking, then a spontaneous late evening stop at the bar. The service and servers were warm and wonderful. Such a charming place with more than 400 years of history. If you can, go outside the busiest hours so you can enjoy it.
The Duck Margret and Iberian pork pluma were succulent and full of flavor, and we started with Iberian jamon. The food was the real highlight, though the centuries-old restaurant had a fantastic atmosphere too. You could feel the energy among the staff and diners. We were glad to walk straight in with a reservation, since there was a long line for seats at 8:30 pm. Definitely book ahead. A great start to our food adventure in Seville.
