Hotel Cervantes

The common areas are beautiful, and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel sits on a quiet, narrow street, but Seville’s lively atmosphere is only a short walk away. If you’re driving, I’d suggest parking at Plaza Colón. It’s an underground municipal lot, about a 20-minute walk from the hotel.

We stayed at Cervantes in May 2026 and loved it. The room was lovely, and everything was very clean. It’s centrally located, and the staff were so helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. I’d highly recommend it.

I was attacked and robbed on my way back to the hotel after 1:30 a.m. on the last of my four nights, about 40 meters from it. The neighborhood is quiet, but walking around late at night can be dangerous, so be careful. I visited last October. The hotel is well placed in Seville’s historic center, making it easy to explore on foot, and breakfast was good. It’s a very good place to stay, with that nighttime caution in mind.

The staff were consistently polite, professional, and helpful, and I appreciated having reception open around the clock. The whole hotel was very clean. Still, after four days in Seville, I can’t say the room met the standard I expected of a four-star hotel, and that’s why I’m giving one star. The bathroom was the biggest problem. The toilet was squeezed into an awkward corner, with so little room that it was uncomfortable to use and easy to bump into the toilet paper holder. The shower pressure was also extremely weak. The room layout felt poorly thought out, and the bathroom nearly unsafe. We booked for two, but got two single beds pushed together, each made up with its own single duvet. It didn’t feel like a proper double bed for a couple, which was disappointing. After breakfast, guests could use the coffee machine for free from 11 a.m., but the coffee was so watery I couldn’t finish it. I want to be clear that none of this is about the staff, who were kind and helpful throughout. It was the room design and facilities, especially the bathroom and shower, that affected our stay.
