Luxury Dreams Sevilla

Disappointed. Look at the picture. The bed wasn’t made when we arrived, and the owner didn’t answer the phone. Worse, they messaged me saying we were late, as if that explained it.

Really nice!

Excellent location, but our stay wasn’t good. We picked this place because of the great reviews, and checked in at 3:00 PM as planned. All four of us then stood outside in 44-degree heat until 3:22 PM, waiting for the internet message with the codes for the building and apartment doors. The apartment was on the second floor, with no elevator. I had to make two trips carrying our heavy suitcases, which was inconvenient. Inside, it was scorchingly hot because the AC was off. We turned it on, but the place didn’t cool down until late evening, by which point we were exhausted. The house rules seemed peculiar to us. We stayed in five properties on this vacation, three in Lisbon and one in Seville, and none of the others made such a point of displaying rules. We’re civilized people, and we understand that rules about damage are implicit. But having to take the garbage out when leaving for the airport at 5:30 in the morning was something we really couldn’t stand. We took photos as soon as we arrived. The walls were dirty, some items were damaged, including the refrigerator door, and the bathroom ceiling was detached and damaged. It wasn’t nice to look at, and we didn’t feel comfortable standing under it. Someone on another platform had reported the same issue at the start of June and was told it would be fixed shortly, but apparently it hadn’t been. The sofa bed wasn’t made up, so we had to do it ourselves. Guests had reported this before, but nothing had changed. We’ve stayed in other properties where guests were really looked after. Here there was a bit of everything wrong, as the photos show.

The location is the only thing this apartment has going for it. The photos are nothing like the real place, and getting up to the second floor without an elevator feels like climbing to a fourth. It was dirty, neglected, and very uncomfortable. There was a piece of cardboard hanging from the bathroom ceiling, with no idea where it led. The duvet was disgusting, the dishes were filthy, the frying pan had oil on it, and the coffee maker hadn’t been washed. The toothbrush was full of hair, the shower drain was indecent, and the third-floor terrace was awful, with dusty, torn cushions.
