The location makes it easy to get to the old city or pretty much anywhere on foot in 10-13 minutes. I nearly skipped it after seeing the bad reviews, but staying there pleasantly surprised me: it was really clean and nice, and the staff were warm and friendly. Maybe management has sorted out some of the problems. I can’t complain, and I’d definitely recommend it.

The entrance hall was quite nice, and it’s in a pleasant central spot. But that’s about where the good points ended. The room was tiny, with a view straight into the room opposite. Thankfully, those guests were in their pyjamas. There were barely six inches around the bed, and the bathroom was so small you could sit on the toilet and reach the sink, handy if you felt ill, I suppose. We paid 130 euros for the room. I couldn’t find the AC remote, and reception charged me 5 euros to use the air conditioning. In Seville, of all places. I thought it might be a deposit, but it wasn’t. There wasn’t even a glass in the room, no tea or coffee setup, and no breakfast. The furnishings and finish felt cheap and badly done. I won’t return, and I couldn’t bring myself to take a photo.

Seville was hot, so having air conditioning in my room was a real help. This is a very nice pension, just a couple of minutes’ walk from Casa do Pilato and close to other popular sights.

We knew the room would be small, but it was barely big enough to move around. The bathroom was so cramped I could brush my teeth while sitting on the toilet, and even then I couldn’t sit straight. Noise was a nightmare at night and in the morning. You could hear people all over the place using the toilet, flushing, walking, talking, and opening or sliding doors. There was no air conditioning unless you paid an extra 5 euros. The bed was uncomfortable, and the pillow had a pretty unpleasant smell. At 60 euros a night, it wasn’t even that cheap. Never again.
