Pensión Doña Trinidad

We were there during a festival, when hotel prices across town were high, so this place made sense. Sevilla is compact and easy to get around, and nothing we visited was more than a 20-minute walk away. The rooftop garden terrace is lovingly and sustainably cared for, a nice spot to unwind. The building’s open layout means tiny rooms and sound can carry enough to disturb some people’s sleep. Still, it was practical, central, quirky, and clean, and both guests and management were respectful and considerate. It seemed to suit a particular kind of resident.

My room was cleaned properly every day, and the man running the hostel was very kind. The location is the main draw: close to the Cathedral, restaurants, bars, and places serving breakfast early in the morning. But there was a lot of noise. Street sounds, the next room, and people coming and going all carried through, and the two main doors made a terrible racket. My room was also very cold, and the heater didn’t seem to work.

The rooftop terrace was tiny but nice, and the bathrooms were decent, though the rooms felt too small. The pension is well placed, very close to the main attractions, and rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels. Even so, we had loads of ants in the room despite keeping food out of it. Finding them in the bed sheets at night was gross and really uncomfortable. For the price we paid, I expected better hygiene and cleanliness.

The staff were cheerful, friendly, and always ready to help when we needed something. Our room was clean and really comfortable, and some rooms have their own bathroom. It’s only a few minutes from the cathedral, which worked well for our sightseeing trip. The place is an old house that’s been fully renovated into a modern hostel while keeping the feel of Sevilla. Maybe one of the better accommodation options in the city. I’d recommend it for a stay in Seville.
