The room had just one small window, facing the shared hallway, and without it open the bathroom smell got horrible. We also had only one power socket, so we had to take turns charging our phones. The terrace was being used by the landlords to dry their clothes and sheets. And when my partner went outside to smoke, the landlord yelled at him in Spanish that he couldn’t smoke there. The parking listing was misleading too. It said parking was available, but on arrival the landlord said there was only public parking, which cost us an expensive 80 euros for two days. When we left, the lady told us to put the keys on the hallway console if we couldn’t find her. We did, but a few hours later she started calling to ask where the key was. What the booking site described and what we found were opposites. Think twice before booking.

The room was fine and the shared bathroom was clean, but I didn’t like the sign saying you couldn’t wash clothes. I’ve travelled for 30 years and never been told I couldn’t wash something in the sink before. I also didn’t feel my luggage was secure. The room had no windows, at least mine didn’t, and the door’s upper half could be left open for air and light. I left for the day with the whole door shut, but came back to find the cleaner had opened the top. Anyone outside could reach over and get into the room.

It’s a modest place, but clean and quiet, and the hosts are quite nice. The shared bathroom I used was clean too. You can walk to the main tourist sights, and the price is fair compared with fancier places.
