Maria at reception was amazing when our train was cancelled. She helped our group look into possible transport options, and the service was superb. Our rooms were clean and up to date. The location is wonderful, close to all the major Seville sights but on a quiet street. I loved it!

The staff were welcoming, kind, and helpful whenever we asked for advice. They gave our dog a lovely bed he liked, along with food and water bowls, and also left us two little cava bottles. The beds were comfortable, and the Nespresso machine in the room was handy. There was no kettle, which I appreciated since I’ve stopped using hotel kettles after seeing some guests use them the wrong way. Breakfast was fresh, good quality, and generous for €17 per person. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels and can compare: nearby options can charge €17 for just pancakes, without coffee. They also put leftover cakes and pastries out at reception after breakfast, and when we were there in the afternoon we enjoyed them. Coffee, tea, and water were available in a room by the yard, opposite the breakfast area. A Carrefour express next door opens early and closes at 10.30pm, which was helpful for snacks and drinks. The hotel is very well situated. We chose this hotel because it welcomes pets. Our little 3.8kg dog travelled with us, but room 308 had no carpet, and neither did the corridor leading to rooms 308 and 309. The corridor beside it on the same floor was carpeted. The hallway floor squeaked under shoes, making our dog and the dogs next door uneasy. Room 309 apparently had dogs too. Their owner left them alone for two days, and they barked constantly, so we couldn’t get much rest in the afternoons. Those rooms are beside the emergency stairs, which some guests used to get up to the third-floor terrace. The barking dogs disrupted two days of our holiday. We’d found sitters in Seville so our own dog wouldn’t be left alone while we visited attractions. The other owner was selfish. I think the hotel should require a €500 deposit and keep it if guests leave dogs alone in their rooms. I’d gladly have paid it, and that might have prevented this. Room 308 needs some work too. The sink was blocked and very annoying to use. The wardrobe was old, and opening its sliding mirror door was a daily battle. The air conditioning worked most of the time but gave less cold air in the evening. We don’t know why, but we reported it to reception. The third floor tends to be hotter because it’s under the roof. The amenities weren’t in the bathroom. Instead, a paper on the sink asked guests to pick up anything needed from reception. That felt awkward to me. Tourists travel light and expect a well-stocked bathroom. The shampoo, shower gel, and hand soap were all the same product in dispensers, which didn’t feel very hygienic. Recent studies have found hotel dispensers can carry various bacteria. I hope the hotel brings in a deposit policy that would help responsible dog owners like us, who made sure our pet had company and wasn’t disturbing anyone next door.

The room was spacious, and we had a lovely stay. The breakfast buffet was very nice, with plenty of options, and the location was superb. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, especially Mr. Juan and Fany. Thanks for all the help and recommendations.

The one thing I’d improve is the bathroom. The shower head fitting was loose, so I had to hold it and couldn’t really use the shower bar. The screen’s rubber seals had come away, and water leaked onto the bathroom floor. Otherwise, the hotel went beyond what we expected, and we’d gladly stay again if we get to visit Sevilla. The quadruple room was very clean and spacious. We could leave a stroller in a corner and still move around and open the door easily, which is rare in a hotel right in a big city’s centre. The beds were very comfortable, and the room had all the equipment we needed, including a minibar and fridge. Breakfast was excellent, both in quality and choice, with fresh juices and lots of sweet and savoury options. We could easily find a table for four each morning. Reception and restaurant staff were friendly and professional, and keen to make our stay better. There was also a room for free hot drinks and water, and bike rental. The location is a great balance: right in the city, close enough to walk to major monuments, restaurants, and shops, but on a calm street with almost no traffic. It has all the makings of a perfect family holiday in Sevilla, and then some.

Chari at the desk went above and beyond, and the rest of the staff were excellent. The hotel dates back to 1850, which gives the place a nice feeling. It’s right in the centre, with everything within walking distance and so much history just outside the door.
