Suites Machado

We loved the impressive interior, which felt authentic and classic, with Portuguese decorative influences. The room was huge and had everything we needed, including kitchenware. The location was excellent, a short walk from the restaurant-lined pedestrian street, Catedral de Sevilla, and Royal Alcazar of Seville (RAS). For RAS, book well ahead if you can. If not, arriving at 8:30am puts you among the first in the walk-in line, though you may still queue for 1-1.5 hr to get a ticket. Pablo greeted us warmly and was exceptionally helpful. He patiently explained how the different keys worked, including the one for the rooftop elevator. He also seemed to know every street on the map and recommended restaurants to match what we asked for, plus nearby supermarkets. We followed his map mark and found the restaurant. His recommendations felt tailored to our questions, not a standard list for every guest. This isn’t a hotel with a 24-hour reception on site. That wasn’t a problem for us, but it’s best to let them know your expected arrival time ahead of time so they can look after you.

I usually spend much of the year on work trips, often in airport hotels, so I’m careful about where I stay when I travel for myself. For a last-minute one-night trip to Sevilla, I was lucky to find Suites Machado. The entrance is stunning, and the rooms are spacious with a beautiful classic style. It’s well placed for parking and the places I wanted to visit. A special find, and I highly recommend it if you get the chance. Thanks to the staff for a wonderful stay. I hope to come back soon.

My favorite stay on this trip to Spain. Loved the style, how clean it was, the walkable location, the friendly, responsive hosts, and the affordable price. I’ll miss this place until I can come back. 100% recommend it to anyone visiting beautiful Sevilla.

One of the best apartments we’ve ever stayed in. There are hundreds of books in several languages in our apartment, with huge high ceilings, air conditioning, a good shower, and marble everywhere. The property is full of character, from the striking tiles and colors in the entrance hall, just like the pictures. We met the owner, who was lovely and friendly and told us about the building’s history.
