The Boutike Guesthouse - Hostel

The staff were nice and the location is perfect, but the walls are paper thin. We woke up every night when people came back from going out, and at 5 am we could hear a baby crying next door. Bring earplugs. The bathroom is old.

The location is pretty good, it's cheap, and they offer free coffee and snacks in the morning. Service was good too. Still, I was disappointed by the room's cleanliness, especially the bathroom. When I opened the bedroom curtains, there was quite a lot of dirt on the floor. The bedsheets were too small for the mattress and kept coming off during the night. The wardrobe rod was held up with zip ties and kept falling when I tried to hang clothes. That area was a bit dirty too. The bathroom wasn't clean, and I found used cotton pads under the sink. The towels were stained, so I couldn't tell whether they were actually clean.

The staff were kind and respectful, but the stay was disappointing despite the high Booking ranking. The water pipes smelled like wastewater all the time. The flooring, lamps, and other materials seemed poor quality, and breakfast matched the photos but was poor quality too. Even the key card didn't work reliably.

People running the hotel and working there seemed nice and were helpful. The hotel is a lovely experience overall, a small place near the town center. Rooms are solid and always clean. Breakfast is the one thing I'd change, the choices are limited.
