Casa Bougainvillea

My family and I had a lovely few days in Soller, staying at the beautiful Bouginvilla Hotel. It's right in town, with historic character and every modern convenience. Angel looked after us so well, with humour, charm and efficiency. He even promised to visit us in Dublin, and he'd be very welcome. We can't praise Angel or the hotel enough. We travel with our own bikes a lot, and when choosing a hotel, location is everything. Angel, the manager, and his staff made the whole experience easy, stress-free and unforgettable. The hotel has everything to accommodate cyclists and people bringing sports equipment. Angel knows the town and its best places to visit, and he helped us arrange our trip to the airport in Palma. He made us feel at home. The air conditioning, showers and bedding were all great and helped us recharge after difficult cycling climbs. We'll definitely return.

Our sleep was disturbed by a noisy fridge in the room, and the blackout curtain didn't cover the whole window. Dirt was blowing into the bathroom from the extractor fan. The shower bracket wasn't attached to the wall, so after my wife used it, I didn't risk showering in case it collapsed. Despite these problems, no reduction in the rate was offered.

The hotel is beautiful and in an amazing location, with the center of Soller close by and the bus stop just five minutes away on foot. Our room doors were gorgeous wooden ones, but opening and closing them was loud. We could also hear staff cleaning in the hallway and other guests. The windows, though, were very well insulated, so no outside noise came through. The staff were friendly and breakfast was lovely. We'd definitely come back.
