Jumeirah Mallorca Hotel

The only thing I'd change is the spa whirlpool temperature. It was a bit cold and could use more heat. Otherwise, the kind, accommodating staff and the hotel's attention to detail made this one of the best hotels we've stayed in. They were very welcoming to our small poodle, which made the vacation even better. We're already thinking about coming back!

The property feels very tired and really needs renovation. The gym showed it clearly: every other cardio machine was broken, and even the working ones were falling apart, as in the photo. Our photo of the bath surround showed the sealant peeling away, and another showed a broken lift that made people walk outside in the rain. I know things break, but this felt like more than that. Food and drink prices were very expensive, too. Still, the location was lovely, the views especially good, and the pools were ace. The staff were amazing across the board, especially Anna at breakfast, who was so friendly and helpful. It was a lovely stay and we'd go back, but some investment and attention could make it much better.

The hotel sits high on a mountain, reached by a winding road, with views down to the sea. If you want to stay right by a beach, this may not be the right fit. It also has many levels, so anyone with mobility concerns should ask staff about access to all the facilities. We don't need assistance, so didn't check ourselves. Parking in Port de Soller is challenging, so the complimentary hotel shuttle is useful. Its driver was particularly kind, taking us to the local pharmacy twice. Jumeirah was a quiet, relaxing respite after our two-week group tour in Northern Spain. We had hoped to explore the island, but a “flu” bug hit us three days apart and turned the trip into a resort stay. The beautiful ocean and mountain views and sunny days by the pool, away from other guests, made it a good place to recover. The indoor and outdoor restaurants served an extraordinary buffet breakfast, with items made to order as well. The resort was spotlessly cared for, and the staff were welcoming and helpful.

I’ve been trying for more than two weeks to get my deposit back, despite several reminders and promises from the hotel. Instead of simply pre-authorising or blocking the security deposit, they charged the full amount to my card. I'm especially concerned by the lack of transparency and the absence of proper payment confirmation or refund documentation. It gives the impression they may be counting on guests not checking their bank accounts closely, particularly those who are financially comfortable and may not notice unexpected charges right away. Keep a close eye on your statements and verify every transaction. Extremely disappointing for a hotel of this level.
