Hostal Millan

I slept well on a comfortable bed, and there were stair lifts for older or disabled guests. I paid 25€ for one night in July. The room was basic but clean and well kept, with air-conditioning and TV. Food and drinks were available at the bar downstairs until 11pm, but I couldn’t hear it from my room. It’s an excellent budget hostel, and I’ll stay here again.

The bath had large patches of rust, and the room was very dirty. Before my partner and I left, we explained that we weren’t happy with the cleanliness or the room’s condition and didn’t want to pay the full €50 for something that wasn’t clean or up to standard. They didn’t try to sort it out and just kept saying the price was the price. It was the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

The food was decent for the price. Staff were okay, though not particularly friendly. If you’re on the road and need a place to stop and eat, it’ll do.

Watch out, they tried to charge our group of five €3,50 for a small basket of bread, plus another €5 for “table service” because we sat outside. They hadn’t warned us about the extra charge and apparently couldn’t be bothered to walk out to the terrace. We live here, we aren’t tourists, and it felt like they were trying to scam foreigners!
