The rooms are simple, with a mini fridge, but they do the job and look out over the valley. We also had fantastic views, warm hospitality, and just the right breakfast and packed lunch options for us.

We had several flies get in whenever the windows were open, and the room felt a little worn. Aside from that, everything worked well for our holiday. The staff were friendly, breakfast had a good range, and the location was great for hiking in the national park. It suited what we needed and was reasonably priced.

We didn’t get a room with a view, but for €60 we had lots of space at the back and even a glimpse of a mountain. The hotel has a lovely old-world feel, and the staff were great. We were really happy with our stay at this family-run place. It’s a two-star hotel that shines.

After several days of hiking, we spent a few days here resting before heading home. Our room had a balcony looking over the hills, and it was just right for unwinding. The hotel is a bit dated and could use some paint, but we still loved our stay. Everyone on staff was helpful, and breakfast had a really good, wide range of choices. We’d definitely return, and Torla itself was a delight.

The hotel sits in a wonderful setting, and the rooms are spacious and clean. It’s good value for the money, with very friendly, helpful staff. Just be aware that noise carries, and people often come back late or head out early for hikes. Breakfast is plentiful, though the choices lean a little oddly toward sweet things rather than savory. Those were minor concerns for us.
