The self-service check-in felt a bit scary at first, but it worked and gave us more flexibility. You fill in a form ahead of time, then get arrival instructions in a WhatsApp chat on the day. Entry uses codes, and the room key is in a lock box outside the room. There's a reception desk, but I never saw anyone there. My bed had no blanket on the first night and I was cold. I asked in the WhatsApp chat, and one was fitted the next day. Later, one of the integrated blinds stopped going down. I reported it in the chat, which you join before arriving, but it wasn't fixed. The room stayed bright even at night, and there was less privacy. At first I couldn't figure out how the blinds worked, but when working, they block a lot of light. The windows open and do a great job of keeping out noise, even though the accommodation is right in the entertainment area. With the windows open, outside noise might bother some people. It's tucked away on the first floor of a residential building, just off the main square and a few minutes from the Metro Station and a major bus stop. Very handy for getting around Torremolinos, Málaga, and the wider Costa Del Sol. The rooms are very clean and basic, but large and practical, with a comfy bed, a useful desk, smart TV, and accessible bathroom. Coming through the traditional gate into the lovely courtyard made it feel like living as a local. The building itself is very quiet. I'd recommend staying here in Torremolinos.
